Background:
I grew up in Virginia’s Roanoke Valley, but have lived in the Richmond area and got my first degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. I am currently getting my second degree in Dietetics from James Madison University.
Occupation and other community service you are involved in: I am pursuing a career in Dietetics and work part-time at the Joshua Wilton House Inn and Restaurant. In my free time I volunteer for JMU’s Student Wellness and Outreach Office and participate in various service projects with JMU’s Dietetic Association. I also serve as one of the Blue Ridge Dietetic Association’s sustainability representatives.
Fun facts about you: I speak French fluently and I love to cook and bake in my free time. If I were not going into the field of dietetics, I think I would pursue a career as a pastry chef.
Why did you decide to participate in DWTS?I enjoy ballroom dancing and was a part of the ballroom dancing club and formation team at UVA for a while, so when I was asked to help out in this wonderful cause to support the Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center, I was delighted to help.
I love to dance because….It is such a timeless and beautiful skill that can create so much joy in life.
