Janice Lee Allen is the only candidate running for Congress who was born and raised in this District. Her heritage in this Valley: 8 generations of farmers, laborers and small business people.

She has a Bachelors Degree, attended Bridgewater and Emory and Henry; two master degrees, one from Va. Tech; a Ph.D.; and, a Real Estate Brokers License. For 14 years, she has owned and operated her own real estate investment business. Prior to that, she lived in Northern Virginia, for 18 years, working in Government, private industry, and in education. She has been a single parent.
