Va. Gov. Bob McDonnell Endorses Mitt Romney

Virginia Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell is backing Mitt Romney in the GOP presidential race.

Romney's campaign announced McDonnell's endorsement Friday morning. It comes a day before South Carolina's GOP primary.

McDonnell says in the campaign's news release that Romney has been an effective leader in business, with the Olympics and as a governor.

McDonnell says governors have to find solutions to problems and the nation needs a governor to serve as its next president
