Republican Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign now has its West Virginia headquarters up and running. McCain's West Virginia campaign chairman and other supporters attended the opening on Thursday in Charleston.
Meanwhile, Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's supporters are getting ready to open an office in downtown Harrisonburg. On Thursday, they spent the day cleaning up the office and hanging campaign posters in preparation for opening day.
"We have all the literature on his stance on every issue," says Andrea Talley, a volunteer at the Obama office. "We'll be answering questions, organizing volunteers, phone banking, canvassing, and registering people to vote all out of this office."
An open house is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at 3 p.m. Obama's office is located at 124 South Main Street in Downtown Harrisonburg.
