Most registrars across Virginia are seeing light voter turnout and the same goes for in the Valley.
As of Tuesday afternoon, early numbers show that 2.6 percent of Harrisonburg's registered voters cast ballots, while Staunton and Waynesboro both had about three percent of voters come out.
Officials say it is still possible that more will come out to vote as people get off work. The polls close at 7 p.m.
With the low turnout, the chairs of both the Rockingham Republican and Democratic Committees don't expect much change in their parties.
While those issues are important for some, they do not seem enough to get everyone to the voting booth.
