Delegate Dickie Bell Reacts to Win After a Challenging Race

Republican Dickie Bell won handily keeping his seat in the 20th district.

He beat Laura Kleiner

The newly re-districted area posed quite the challenge for delegate Dickie Bell and his challenger Laura Kleiner adding thousands of new voters to the 20th district.

But it was all about the celebration tonight at the Republican headquarters in Staunton.

Compared to past elections Bell says this election was much more challenging simply because of the increase in the size of the district.

He says it was hard trying to get around the district but his campaign wanted to talk to as many voters as possible.

"Well I'm very pleased obviously, and relieved and exhausted. I think we've had our hard work and the kind of campaign that we run it's all been validated today."

Bell says after maybe a few hours of sleep he's headed to Richmond early Wednesday morning to start working hard for the 20th district, and Virginians.

Bell also says he's thankful it has been a clean race between him and his contender Laura Kleiner.

Delegate bell commends her, and anyone for running a political race because they can be so tough.
