A member of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors announced Wednesday night that he will not seek reelection.
Larry Howdyshell has been on the board for the past 12 years.
He says he will leave office when his term finishes at the end of this year, because he wants to spend more time with his grandchildren.
Howdyshell represents the northwest portion of the county, including Mount Solon and parts of Churchville.
