HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -- A Huntington woman is entering the governor's race as a write-in candidate.
The Secretary of State's office tells The Herald-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/LR9xEz ) that Barbara Lynn Spurlock met the requirements to be a write-in candidate for governor in the Nov. 6 general election.
Spurlock will run as an independent. She says she's a registered Republican.
Spurlock says a statement that her goal is equal pay for equal work for everyone. She says she has a special interest in battered women and children, health care workers and teachers.
