Economic development officials in Lincoln County are co-sponsoring a unique candidates' forum for governor next week.
The Lincoln County Economic Development Authority is conducting the forum at 10 a.m. Monday at Lincoln County High School in Hamlin.
The development authority won't be running the forum. Students will.
Organizer Larry Stutler says the student government president will monitor the forum and three other student government members will ask the questions. Stutler says the questions won't be revealed beforehand.
County Commissioner Thomas Ramey says the idea behind the panel is because so many young people are leaving the state. Census figures show the number of state residents ages ten to 24 fell 4.3 percent from 2000 to 2010.
Stutler says at least three candidates have committed to attending.
