Waynesboro Voter Turnout Higher Than Normal

In Waynesboro turnout was up compared to similar elections in the past.

Waynesboro voters switched delegate districts this year,
meaning new polling places for many people.

One polling station in the city reported about a 20% increase.

Volunteers say the nice weather also helps to bring out more voters.

Despite a location change for many volunteers say the day may have been long but went pretty smooth.

Bob Kuykendall is a volunteer and says, "We didn't get any confusing comments or questions, now we gained some people because of the redistricting but everyone was very cordial."

The race for 20th district delegate was the only contested race for Waynesboro voters.
