Valley residents have the chance to purchase unique photos from a local artist.
Polly Frye of Keezletown is showing off her work at the Hardesty Higgins House Friday and Saturday.
She started shooting more than 60 years ago. Frye and her husband bought their own studio in 1951, and took the studio's old film and decided to have prints of old town Harrisonburg and Rockingham County available to the the public.
She says the field has changed quite a bit since then.
"If I had my ruthers, I'd still be shooting film, but it's gotten very difficult for labs, they just don't want to fool with film anymore," says Polly Frye.
Frye's most recent works include photographs of scenery.
