Tour of Carols

Christmas may be over, but people could still be heard singing carols Wednesday night.

The Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton held a winter caroling party. The public was invited to join Father Christmas and other guides as they walked through the European-based farms of the museum to sing familiar carols.

At each stop, a costumed greeter spoke to guests about Christmas traditions, decorating and baking.

Dave Landes is in charge of the museum's music program, and says caroling is an important part of our past cultures.

"This gives the public a chance to come in and enjoy singing some of the carols we love to sing together and do it here at the museum where we can have that nice, historic flavor here," says Landes.

After the caroling tour, guests were treated to special music and traditional carols.
