After months of research and public input, Staunton unveiled its new brand Monday night at the Blackfriars Playhouse.
Staunton worked with branding consultant Arnett, Muldrow and Associates to help define the Queen City.
"As You Like It" is the new catch phrase. It will be incorporated into Web sites, t-shirts, newsletters, business cards, and much more all in an effort to promote potential and existing businesses.
"We're basically putting in your hands a tool that you can use to communicate how much you love Staunton to the world," says Amanda Huffman, Assistant Director of Economic Development for the city. "This is an opportunity for each person in Staunton to create their own story and put that meaning in to the Staunton brand."
In addition to the brand, a song written about Staunton was sung for those who attended Monday's meeting.
