Seneca Caverns will reopen April 16 as a seasonal operation catering to warm-weather tourists.
The announcement came Tuesday from Greer Industries Inc., the caverns' owner.
Just two weeks ago, Greer said it would close the caverns near Riverton. Local tourism officials said a dozen employees were laid off.
Greer won't say whether those workers will be rehired.
The caverns will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, until November 2.
The caverns will also be open on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
