A local brother and sister became attracted to careers in dancing because of Michael Jackson's influence.

Jimmy Marifino, a Michael Jackson fan, and his sister Cynthia were shocked Thursday when they heard the news that Michael Jackson, their idol, had passed away.

However, their also celebrating his life in a way that you might not expect.

Jimmy says,"Yeah, we used to have backyard dance recitals and we'd dance to Michael Jackson with our neighbors. This is all coming back to me now. Yes, it was fun."

The brother and sister duo both have got the rhythm and, with Jackson's influence, they translated dancing into careers as dance teachers.

Cynthia says, "Personally I just feel that he influenced me to put passion into what I do every day and work hard at it."

Jimmy says that even the kids can see the team work he and his sister put into their dancing.

"They like seeing the brother and sister team and it kind of creates a family atmosphere, sort of like the atmosphere that the Jacksons had," says Jimmy.

While Jimmy and Cynthia are both mourning his death, they say Jackson lives on in the music.

Cynthia says, "Artists like Michael Jackson only come around once in a lifetime. There's only one Gene Kelly, one Fred Astaire, and there will only be one Michael Jackson."
