Campaigns are popping up online to try to once again save the crime-fighting television show "America's Most Wanted."
A handful of Facebook pages were started Monday, hours after Fox announced it was canceling the show. The pages encourage fans to appeal to the network's executives to keep the program on the air.
Fox tried to cancel the show in 1996, but thousands of fans, law enforcement officials and politicians rallied to save it.
Jim Sitton started a Save AMW Facebook page because he credits the show for catching the man suspected of killing his six-year-old daughter in 2009. He says criminals all over America will rejoice if the show is canceled.
