Former VP Cheney Postpones UVa Visit

Former Vice President Dick Cheney has postponed plans to visit the University of Virginia.

Cheney was scheduled to speak Wednesday at U.Va.'s Miller Center
for Public Affairs as part of a tour to promote his new book, "In My Time: A Personal and Political Memoir."

Liz Cheney, his daughter and a former senior official at the State Department, co-authored the book and planned to accompany
him.

The Daily Progress reports that protesters were planning demonstrations to coincide with the event.

Miller Center officials said that Cheney's visit will be rescheduled for sometime early next year.
