HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Valley soccer players will soon have a new place to play.
One Harrisonburg man is bringing an indoor turf field to the area.
The field is currently being built and should be completed by the middle of October.
A winter soccer league is already being planned for the new field.
Mike Martin, the owner of the field, said this new facility is necessary to help soccer grow in the Valley.
"We would love to have everyone in the community out here. I think it will really help soccer in the area and that is really a lot of it. The Harrisonburg area is growing in soccer but when we get out into Richmond and DC it is just hard for our teams to compete on a regular basis." said Martin.
The building will also contain a strength and conditioning room for Martin's athletic training business.
