James Madison University is hosting its “International Week” with a world bazaar on Monday.
This year, the festivities will focus on the Middle East and feature Middle Eastern food, music and cultural items for sale.
Events featuring art shows, panels and cooking classes will also be held throughout the week.
Organizers say they picked the Middle East as the theme to help educate students and the community about the culture.
“Each year we pick a different region of the world to spotlight. This year, it's the Middle East to answer the question of 'what is the Middle East,” said JMU International Office employee Judy Cohen.
Events will take place throughout the week. For more information, visit http://www.jmu.edu/international/iweek/.
