Open House in Woodrow Wilson's Va. Birthplace

President Woodrow Wilson's birthplace in Virginia is celebrating his birthday with a festive open house.

On Wednesday, the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum in Staunton will open to visitors at no charge. The day marks the 155th anniversary of Wilson's birth.

Befitting the season and the era, the library and museum will be decorated for the holidays in Victorian-era style.

The dining room table will be set for a dessert course that harks to the mid-19th century. The kitchen will demonstrate how desserts such as fruitcake and ginger cookies were made.

The open house will also feature an official U.S. Postal Service postmark issue ceremony. The postmark will be stamped on every letter, package and postcard sent from Staunton on that day until Jan. 31, 2012.
