The Rockingham County Fair beat its attendance record from last year.
The week long event drew more than 78,000 people, which is 3,000 more than in 2010.
The fair featured rides, games, food and entertainment.
Dennis Cupp with the Rockingham County Fair Association says the most popular event was the Demolition Derby.
According to Cupp, the weather and new additions, like establishing a campground and allowing visitors to purchase unlimited rides arm bands each night, contributed to this year's success.
