Shenandoah National Park's 75th anniversary is being honored by the U.S. Senate.
A resolution offered by Virginia Sens. Jim Webb and Mark Warner
commemorating the anniversary received the Senate's unanimous
approval Thursday night.
Webb says the park is one of Virginia's most significant tourist attractions.
Warner says the park is an economic driver for the Blue Ridge region as well as a world-class destination.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated the park on July 3, 1936.
