Sperryville Hosts Dukes of Hazzard Reunion

Sperryville, Va. will play host to the first ever Hazzard Homecoming on Saturday, Aug. 13.

The two-day celebration will take place on Saturday and Sunday and will feature several other stars from the “Dukes of Hazzard” TV series that originally aired between 1979 to 1985.

The beloved mechanic Cooter, played by Ben Jones, will return to Sperryville to host the event.

Catherine Bach, who played Daisy Duke, James Best, who played Roscoe P. Coltrane, and Sonny Shroyer, who played Enos, and Rick Hurst, who played Cletus, will also attend the reunion.

The festival will be held at the Link Community Center, located at 12018 Lee Highway.

The event will feature a car show with more than 50 “General Lee's,” as well as a meet-and-greet with the stars.

Cooter's Garage Band will also play bluegrass and country music throughout the weekend.

Tickets can be purchased at www.cootersplace.com for $10 (one-day pass) or $15 (two days). They can also be purchased at the door.
