Preston County commissioners have awarded the first permit under the county's new mass gatherings ordinance.
The Dominion Post reports that the commission approved a permit for the annual All Good Music Festival Monday.
The ordinance approved in January requires organizers of music festivals and other temporary mass gatherings to submit plans to provide sanitation, security and traffic control before they can receive a permit.
The All Good Music Festival is scheduled for July 14 through July 17.
