Marble King President Beri Fox says the Paden City company has gotten a big boost from her appearance on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report."
Fox says she's gotten more than 1,000 letters and e-mails and hundreds of orders for marbles.
It's also gotten Fox a return appearance to cable TV. On Thursday, she's scheduled to appear on "The Martha Stewart Show" at 10 a.m. The show airs on the Hallmark Channel.
Fox tells the Charleston Gazette that she was glad Colbert allowed her to focus attention on America's struggling manufacturing sector.
Meanwhile, Martha Stewart is expected to ask about how marbles are made, the industry's history and various uses for marbles.
Marble King is one just a handful of U.S. marble manufacturers.
