W.Va. Holiday Ornament Debuts Monday

The governor's mansion holiday ornament is set to make its debut well ahead of the holiday season.

The Logan Banner (http://www.loganbanner.com) reports that first
lady Joanne Jeager Tomblin will introduce the 2011 edition on
Monday in Charleston.

The ornament features a rhododendron and is the work of Logan
native Shelley Goodman, who hand-painted the holiday tree ornament.

She painted last year's cardinal ornaments as well.

The 2011 ornament will go on sale at the West Virginia State
Museum Shop and will sell for $20.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the ornaments is dedicated to helping preserve the Governor's Mansion.

Only 500 ornaments will be available for sale this year.
