W.Va. Limited Video Lottery Contracts Hearing Set

Revenue splitting and other issues surrounding limited video lottery contracts between operators and retailers will be discussed at a public hearing later this month.

The West Virginia Lottery Commission said Wednesday that some
retailers are required to reimburse operators for some costs of
doing business, prompting complaints from the retailers.

The commission also says it recently learned that some provisions in the law aren't being followed consistently.

It has drafted a policy statement to clarify its position on the law and
to reinforce these provisions.

The public hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Charleston Civic Center. Written comments can be submitted until Nov. 9 to the West Virginia Lottery, P.O. Box 2067, Charleston, WV 25327.
