SO let's see . . . first, the state "borrows" a huge sum of money from the state employee's retirement system, with a promise to repay. Then, because they can't, or don't want to, repay it, they shift the burden of making up the lost money onto the employees, by forcing them to contribute to their retirement plans, then by upping the ante, and requiring still more money from the employees. PEOPLE, THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN LEGALIZED THEFT !!! The federal government did it with railroad retirement, under Regan's administration, and now Virginia is doing it to state employees ! Being able to pass whatever laws it wishes, to accomplish its ends, DOES NOT MAKE THIS RIGHT, BY ANT MEANS ! Virginia state employees are being ripped off, big time, and one can only hope that these actions will deter most qualified applicants from considering employment with the state of Virginia in the future !

My husband works for the state and i say go for it because as of right now he income is too much to get welfare and if they take more out of his check then we could get more through the state on welfare.
