Mountain State University is hosting a conference on health disparities in Appalachia.
The Fourth Minority Health Disparities in Rural Appalachia Conference will be held Thursday and Friday at the university in Beckley.
Issues to be discussed include women's health and minority disparities, HIV testing and prevention, and risk factors for HIV and AIDS, chronic disease and colorectal cancers.
McDowell County Delegate Cliff Moore is the keynote speaker.
The conference is sponsored by South Central Educational Development.
