Hospital Providing Affordable Care Act Resource

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- Augusta Health has a new resource for people who are confused about the Affordable Care Act.

They have made cards with the many websites and phone numbers that the community has access too.

The information on the cards includes federal, state, and local resources.

The cards have been placed around waiting areas at the Augusta Health Campus, as well as throughout the community.

Those with Augusta Health hope the cards will help anyone who is confused with the many options in the affordable care act.

"Starting in October, when the health exchanges opened, we started getting a lot questions from patients and members of the community about where to go, who should they call, where's the website, what's the address? In order to answer those questions in a very comprehensive way, we put together the rack card," said Lisa Schwenk, the hospital's director of communications.

If you would like a resource card, many of the public areas at Augusta Health have them available.
