In this week's What's Going Around, there is a nasty bug that is literally going around all over the Valley.
Several people are having stomach problems, and in some of these situations, lab reports have confirmed it's norovirus.
Symptoms of norovirus include: sudden onset of vomiting or diarrhea as well as nausea, abdominal cramps, headache, muscle aches and low grade fever.
It can be spread person to person, through the environment or by contaminated food.
Norovirus is not deadly, but it is extremely contagious, and it can make you pretty miserable.
There is no vaccine or specific drug to treat it: however, with adequate hydration, most healthy people will get better in one or two days.
Hand washing with soap and water is the most important measure for preventing the spread of the virus.
