Often parents use the cell phone to keep tabs on their children. This is not safe and this kind of supervision is easily manipulated. Have your child call you from the telephone of the intended destination.(Caller I.D) Also, call the parents/adults ahead of time to be sure that there will be supervision.
Example: Two teens tell their own parents that they are at the other teens house, when in fact they are both at a third destination, perhaps a party. We can trust our children, but remember, other teens invite themselves and others, creating an opportunity for things to get way out of hand.
