NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Two red panda cubs have quadrupled in weight since their birth six weeks ago at the Virginia Zoo.

The Norfolk zoo said the male cubs were born June 20. The cubs' birth was kept under wraps because young pandas are very delicate in their first several weeks.

Baby pandas typically remain in their nests for more than 90 days.

Executive director Greg Bockheim said the cubs should become highly visible in their treetop home this fall.
