China Earthquake: Death Toll at 367

BEIJING (AP) -- The news agency says that according to rescuers, 1,881 other people were injured in the quake, which topped thousands of homes in Ludian, a densely populated county located around 366 kilometers (277 miles) northeast of Yunnan's capital, Kunming.

The magnitude-6.1 quake struck at 4:30 p.m. at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles), according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
