1 killed, 2 hurt When Car Hits Bus in Va.

LOUDOUN, Va. (AP) -- Virginia State Police say one person was killed and two people were injured when a car crossed the median on a Loudoun County highway and hit a bus.

It happened about 3:20 p.m. on Route 267. Troopers say the car was traveling west on the Dulles Greenway when it ran off the left side of the road, crossed through the median, and hit a bus that was traveling in the eastbound lanes.

Police said the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the car were taken to a hospital.

None of the 52 people on the bus was hurt.

The accident is under investigation.
