West Virginia is gearing up for the first deer hunting seasons of the year.

The Division of Natural Resources says the early archery season runs September 13 through 18 in several counties. That's followed by early muzzle-loader season from September 20 to 25.

The agency says hunters need to be prepared to deal with hot weather if they kill an animal. The DNR recommends being ready to cool and process the carcass quickly.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
