A company that employs hundreds of people in the Valley has started selling its products to Russia again.

Pilgrim's Pride announced Friday that it will resume shipments to Russia Saturday.

Russia had blocked poultry imports from the United States in January, but recently lifted the ban.

Pilgrim's Pride has made adjustments at plants in Alabama, Georgia and Texas to be able to ship to Russia.

The president of Pilgrim's Pride says demand from Russia is very strong.

WHSV Poll
A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
