Wyoming County's prosecutor is warning students and parents about the potential danger of a product that mimics marijuana's effects after at least two students who used it were hospitalized.
Prosecutor Rick Staton tells "The Register-Herald" his office was told that one student was unconscious for more than five hours.
The product known as K2, or "Spice," Genie" and "Zohai," is commonly sold in head shops as incense. The mixture of herbs and spices is sprayed with a synthetic compound chemically similar to THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.
Staton urged businesses in the county to stop selling K2.
He says he can't stop such sales. But he will prosecute cases "where businesses have crossed the line."

Give me a break, they should be spending their time and our dollars on fighting real crime, like the Goldman Sachs heist of our government. The GM, Crysler, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac Bailouts. The gangs and real problems like alcohol, tobacco, perscription drugs, and gambling. This is just election hype to get on the front page or in the paper at all. It is time to VOTE THEM ALL OUT and make a point, that we are tired of them just sucking up our money and doing nothing of real value. Have you checked to see how much your elected officials are making now a days. Well, the vast majority of you can bet that it is more than you make and then there are those midnight raises, and their 100% health care plans, wish I had one, don't you? Get off this petty issue and get on to something worth while. A couple of kids got sick, how many die each year from tobacco, alcohol, and prescription drugs? Get real or move on....
