A Norfolk man who was driving car that crashed into a house, killing three passengers, faces charges of aggravated involuntary manslaughter while driving drunk.

"The Virginian-Pilot" reports that a Norfolk grand jury indicted 30-year-old Craig A. Watson on three felony charges. The August 11 wreck also seriously injured two passengers.

According to police, Watson was driving with five passengers around 3:20 a.m. when the car missed a curve. The vehicle tore through a light pole, stop sign, guardrail and tree before slamming into the porch of a house.

Police said speed and alcohol contributed to the crash, which killed 18-year-old Paris Shorter of Virginia Beach, 19-year-old Marquita S. Walker of Hampton and 29-year-old Karnell W. Faulkner of Chesapeake.
