The hallways used to be roamed by teenagers in Staunton, but now a former high school has been renovated into a home for seniors.

Gypsy Hill Place is holding a grand opening Saturday night. Officials will be giving tours of the renovated building and offering food.

The building is the old R.E. Lee High School. Former classrooms have been converted into apartments, and a performing arts center has already started putting on shows in the building.

Gypsy Hill Place is right next to Gypsy Hill Park.
