A registered sex offender from Florida spends one more day in a Virginia jail Monday afternoon.

After taking police on a chase up the East Coast, Virginia State Police arrested William Joe Mitchell after he allegedly lured a 15-year-old girl on MySpace.

Authorities say the 46-year-old sex offender claimed he was 24-years old. On Thursday, investigators received information that he was headed to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

State police caught Mitchell Saturday morning at a truck stop near Winchester.

"We've seized the vehicle. We'll search it, pursue it to obtaining a search warrant, but we can tell you this, that our female victim's personal affects were visible in the car," says Polk County, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd.

Mitchell is being held at the Northwestern Regional Jail until at least Tuesday when he'll be taken back to Florida.
