Speed Likely a Factor in Deadly Clarke County Crash

State police in Clarke County say speed was likely a factor in an accident that killed a Front Royal woman over the weekend.

It happened on Route 624 Saturday morning.

Just after midnight Saturday, Deborah Schoonover lost control of her car hit a tree and was ejected from the vehicle.

She was not wearing a seat belt.

Her passenger, 18-year-old Dylan Harrington, was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, and his condition is unknown.
