A group of concerned residents known as the "Zirkle Mill Foundation" has raised $200,000 to buy the Zirkle Mill. They want to convert the Forestville property into a tourist attraction.

The current owner was planning to give the mill to the Frontier Culture Museum, but foundation members say the fact that they were able to raise so much money in just a few weeks shows just how much the community wants to keep the mill right where it is.

"The outpouring of support from people here in the county, and outside the county, has really been pretty astounding. and we're pleased with it and greatful for it," says Denny Zirkle with the Zirkle Mill Foundation. The mill's owner is taking a look at the offer and plans to have an answer by next week.
