Harrisburg's school board is losing one of its own. Jean Gearing has resigned.
She and her family are moving to the county, making her not eligible to serve. She says she's seen lots of changes over the past decade and will miss the job.
The city will be accepting applications to fill Gearing's spot through Sept. 30. The new board members first meeting will be Nov. 5.
