Virginia State Police have arrested three men in connection with a fatal crash in Augusta County last week.

Virginia State Trooper Simmons says Corey Beasley, Torrence Mack and Robert Gaylor were all taken into custody Tuesday stemming from a crash that happened a week ago on Route 42.

Eighteen-year-old Brittany Engleman of Staunton was ejected from a car driven by 22-year-old Beasley of Staunton. She was not wearing a seat belt and died.

State Police have not confirmed drag racing was the cause of the crash, however, Beasley is charged with a felony racing statute and is being held without bond.

Mack and Gaylor are both charged as accessories and $5,000 bonds have been set.

All three of the men are also charged with obstruction of justice.

Let me just say Brittany was a great friend of mine. I totally agree on the no pointing fingers! Yes Beasley was driving and recked. It was a bad choice. However, It was just as much of a bad choice for Brittany to get in the car at 4 am after drinking and riding with someone who is notorious for racing and who had also been drinking. This is NOT 1 persons fault. EVERYONE made bad choices that night and there were consequences paid. Gaylor should not be charged with anything. As for beasley and mack- be creative and think of something other than jail time. These boys should be taught a lesson no doubt. But again EVERYONE made bad choices. Including Brittany. Beasley had his seatbelt on and walked away from the accident. Pray for ALL families and really think about the situation before you point fingers!

To concerned citizen, Oct. 31 at 11:48--Ok, you speak of what the boys/men were doing out at 4 AM. I ask you what was an 18 year old girl doing out at 4 AM? A tragedy, no doubt, but any 18 year old living in my house would not be out at 4 AM. STOP, at the pointing fingers, and be realistic. You were not there--and she was, as were the others involved. Maybe it was bad choices that caused the accident, but maybe it was a fluke. Why don't you put your energy into more constructive efforts. Not just one, but all of these families are suffering, and it will not end with a "guilty verdict," or a "not guilty" verdict. Put you energies into praying that all of these people will heal.

I would like to say as of friend of the family of this beutiful girl, everyone wants to comment, well if you werent there that night of the 23rd , save your breath, justice will be served on these men (not boys)21 and 22 years of age they are, and if you think the state police are misjudging, and the police are the bad people, well think of that the next time you need them. They risk their lives to keep u safe. Keep your stories based on fact not ficton. I hope these men get the fullest extent of the sentence that they possible can, to show all these wanna bees if your man enough to play then you are man enough to pay
