In Augusta County, a costly piece of equipment was stolen from a construction site.

The Sheriff's Office says a skid loader was taken from Roxbury Drive in Fishersville last Thursday morning. The loader is worth $29,719.

There is also a stolen vehicle in Shenandoah County.

The Sheriff's Office says a blue 1987 Ford F150 was reported stolen from a home on Mauser Road in Maurertown on Saturday. Another stolen truck from Strasburg was recovered this week.

There are also reports of a stolen vehicle in Staunton. Police say a blue Mercury Tracer was stolen from the 300 block of Robertson Street on Sunday morning. The car is worth $1,000, and it has the license plate number KLJ 1164.

Also in Staunton, police report a string of vandalism along Selma Boulevard Wednesday night.

Police say seven different vehicles were spray-painted with silver paint on the 700 block of Selma Boulevard. The vehicles were parked in front of homes.

Spray paint of a different sort was found at Shelburne Middle School on Grubert Avenue in Staunton. Police say the columns of the school were painted with gang signs on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, Harrisonburg police have made an arrest for a similar crime.

Four juveniles, aged 12 to 14, were arrested this week, and charged with damaging Waterman Elementary School with graffiti. Each of the juveniles face felony charges of property damage. The CHARGE Gang Task Force is further investigating the juveniles' involvement in gang activity.

A resident in Shenandoah County is reporting a stolen gun. Officials say someone broke into a camper on Van Buren Road in Maurertown on Friday, and stole a Remington rifle.
