Harrisonburg High isn't the only school in the city with plans to change. Harrisonburg City Council approved a new master plan for Eastern Mennonite High School.
The school will add to its existing facility at Parkwood Drive. Some of the new additions include a new auditorium, more classrooms and gymnasium.
A spokesman for the school says the facility will finally match up to the education the students are receiving.
The school hopes to embark on its $6 million project next spring.
