For the first time since the Arts Council of the Valley took over the operations of the theater last summer, business is posting a profit.
According to Arts Council Members, at that point Court Square Theater was about $79,000 in the hole.
Since that time things have turned around.
As of June of this year there was a surplus of $5,000.
"The ending of the first fiscal year under the Arts Council of the Valley we had a surplus. We're very, very happy about that," says Member at Large, Charles Martorana.
Members say the diverse blend of movies and entertainment are bringing people downtown and they hope to see that trend continue.
