The two men who robbed the Planters Bank in Waynesboro Aug. 22, 2002 have been federally charged for the crime.
Arrest warrants for Omar Junious Shaw, 20 years old, and Rodney Van Cooke, 36 years old, were issued Sept. 26, 2002 by a United States Magistrate Judge in Charlottesville, VA.
Shaw is incarcerated in Orange County, North Carolina awaiting extradition. Cooke is incarcerated in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and faces local charges before he will be extradited.
The Waynesboro Police Department has turned the case over to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
