Authorities say they know who's responsible for Harrisonburg's first murder in three years. Investigators say the suspect is armed and dangerous, and they need your help to track him down.
Nicholas Everette Wright of Harrisonburg is charged with capital murder in the commission of a robbery. He's accused of killing Bruce Nelson Jr. at Nelson's home on Governor's Lane last Wednesday.
Garst says Wright is one of three suspects in the murder. The other two are juveniles. One is in custody, and police believe the other is with Wright. Both were seen last night, and police believe they may still be in the area, but if you happen to see them, police warn you to be cautious.
"Don't try to engage him in a conversation or get him in some way distracted. Involve the police immediately," says Garst. If you see Wright, you're asked to call 911 and ask them to notify the Harrisonburg Police Department.
